Main Review:
Summary
This is one of the most popular choices of poker sites for European players, largely thanks to how soft their games are. From the micro stakes right up to the highest stake games, the site is filled with fish, except for their team of pros. This includes WSOP 2009 November Niner Antoine Saout who finished third in the Main Event after qualifying online at the site in a satellite. Recently they launched $25/$50 games which have attracted a lot of attention and players take their seats to play against the pros. One major drawback about Everest Poker is that the only games currently available are Texas Hold'em and Omaha, so if you like game variety this is not the site for you.
Support
Currently there is only e-mail support available. With most sites offering telephone chat and even live chat, this is something which needs to be addressed, however e-mail support is exceptionally good and any problems are quickly resolved.
Promotions
As well as a $200 bonus and $1,000 freeroll for new depositing players, they award players with some very good promotions. This includes a monthly $250,000 tournament, as well as their exclusive Everest Poker European Cup which sees players from 15 nation's team up and get entered into a freeroll, with the team with the best results winning the EPEC title.
Poker Traffic
Everest Poker doesn't have as much traffic as other rooms, mainly due to the fact they use their own software and are not part of any network. Despite this you can usually find around 5,000 ring-game players and up to 7,000 tournament players at peak hours.
Tournaments
As we have mentioned, they host the EPEC which is an extremely popular tournament for European players. They also hold a $250,000 guaranteed tournament on the first Sunday of every month as well as a $100,000 guaranteed tournament every Sunday. There are also lots of daily guaranteed tournaments as well as freerolls.
Game Variety
Game variety is one area where it drastically needs to improve. Currently they only offer Texas Hold'em and Omaha, but they are expected to add Seven-Card Stud soon, which would be a welcome addition.
Sign Up Bonus
Everest is rewarding new players with a $200 bonus. Even if you only deposit the minimum of $10, you are still eligible for the $200 bonus which would mean a 2000% bonus! To clear the bonus and receive the $200 into your real-money account, you will have to collect Everest Points. For 16.67 points you earn, you will release $1 of your bonus money. The quickest way to clear the bonus is by multi-tabling at the cash tables.
Poker Software
Their software is very simple if you compare it to other poker rooms, however it does the job. Players have the choice of selecting different players as avatars as well as different table skins. The software allows players to play up to eight tables at one time and the tables can be resized easily. The one downfall about their software is that hand histories expire every 30 days.
Loyalty Rewards
Their reward program is very generous, and one of the best available. Up to 3 points can be earned on any one hand in ring-games, and in tournaments players can earn 8 points for every $1 they pay in tournament fees. This is much more than most other poker rooms offer and your points can then be redeemed for cash or tournament entries.
Soft Competition
This is the dream site for skilled poker players. The games are extremely soft and most tables have viewed-flop percentages up to 60%. This is even the case up to the highest stakes games, and the Omaha games are even more fishy!
